Pwnd its not by Michael Moore do you think his appearance looks like he would make a movie about toxic food? The director is Robert Kenner.
Michael Moore is biased, he is a one sided man.

That is true, he is a rather large man. Probably really enjoys his McDonald's and stuff. I have never seen any of Robert Kenner stuff, nor have I heard of him tbh lol

We don't spray anything on nature, we leave it be, atleast the forests, many people goes into the forests in summers, to collect berries and varies fruits and such, it's great.
So many new names for disease/conditions, OCD, ADHD, Retard. and so on, in the old days it was just called, "kinda abnormal behavior, but hey we'll get past it".

Well said azzer everyone has a form of mental disease like people who can only love money so much that they can't see women the same way, mechaphiliacs, people not wanting to work, and so on.
Heck, I think that lazy people have a mental disease.

Forest here get left alone as well but the problem is there are areas that are next to crop fields. Therefore when they crop dust them, the forested area gets some of the chemicals as well. But that is hard to avoid.
Anyone can have ADHD, you just need like 4 or 5 of the bizzilion symptoms.

welll, all those diseases and those chemicals we spray on food (and the ones we 'add' to foods) are part of the cause of those new 'mental' diseases (they are really not mental--they do have a physical cause)---as well as a bunch of others from the crap we give our kids and their moms while the are pregnant----but that is another dissertation that I highly doubt anyone here wishes to read .....
so anyone enjoying the weather?? (besides rocky who is going on vacation to vermont? )

The weather is pretty good here actually. Mid 70's the past few days. It is almost 1pm here and it is only 69 degrees F out! Fall is on its way and this weather is awesome.

oops another novel, sorry
|
If what Cosy wrote was a novel...then triple sorry. xD
5 days without internet...at least I had some interesting things to read xD.
My mom has a garden with tomatoes, oranges, mangoes, cucumber and I'm pretty sure I'm missing somethings...the only thing that really needs to be planted there is an apple tree, but it's not that easy to find a variety that can grow with those weather conditions. And her goal is to keep her garden the most natural possible ; for example every night, to get rid of snails and slugs, we'll go into the garden, get them and put them far far away in the back garden, then in the day we'll put salt around the plants so they won't come back (unless they destroyed too much plants, then my mom gets furious and kills them by spraying them with salt...).
Today too much people want to eat some kind of food at a time where that food isn't available in their country. So the country imports those products. But the problem is that the other country feels the need to produce more (to meet the demand of its own population and the demand of the other countries) and so they resort to chemicals etc...
Some scientists work to achieve high benefits. Some work to negate the bad consequences of the use of chemicals (I'm trying to go that way...but it's still a long way for me xD).
I don't like watching wannabe documentaries...the always show arguments in their favor and leave the rest. That said I don't like watching documentaries for different reasons (depending on the type).
And for all those new diseases...well people feel the need to put a name on what they got. It's better to hear you've got disease X than to be told "you've got something we don't know".
Now the thing is, people are putting a name on everything that seems to be a disease because for them, it can't be "normal" to act that way (then again, what can be considered "normal" behavior). And so a list of symptoms for that disease is made. But if you look carefully, most of those symptoms are really subjective.
What I think is that for some people their mind is kind of weak (not really the word I'm looking for but pretty sure you get the what I'm saying xD), and if someone comes and tells them that they've got X and then proceeds to enumerate the symptoms they SEEM to have, they'll eventually believe you have it.
One of the few reasons I don't tolerate addictions...I mean come on, saying you are addicted to something is just lying to yourself...either you're saying it because in fact you don't want to quit, or you're saying it because there's a deeper problem somewhere (could write a little book on why I don't get people who say are addicted to drugs/alcohol/nicotine and can't get rid of that addiction.).
Finally some people have a disease but fail to realize it and then some have a disease but doctors fail to acknowledge it.
The human mind really is something marvelously annoying xD.

wow and I get chided for my long posts.....
good you are back with us red....but make sure you do your studying too!! (we dont want to be the reason you arent doing well in your classes).
yeah its nice they have given some of the diseases names, however; many of these new ones never existed before because of the lack of chemical alteration of foods etc...our bodies are not meant to process that kind of crap. (hence the 'side effects' of most pharmaceuticals).....if you eat what is available to you where you live when its available (minus those northern peoples who have those baaaaaaaad winters) you will feel tons better and avoid processed foods and ones with additives (other than salt).....
you know, I dont think I am capable of writing short posts

Hi Red. Lots of stuff you said, little for me to respond to as I have already voiced my opinion for the most part.

Good to be back ^^
Hehe well I like writing and reading, so if I have something on my mind I can go on and on xD.
I agree with that, eat what is naturally available if you don't want side effects. If you want to go cheap you may end up with paying more because the "bad" food you ate is going to affect your health and you may end up paying more (of course I may be a little exaggerating...then again, look what happened with the milk scandal in China...you got to be careful).
And don't worry turns out university isn't really that hard for now, so I don't have to study that much...right now it's mostly the things I studied in 12th grade, so it's all good ^^ (gotta love having 12th grade teachers so evil that you end up in university thinking things are suspiciously too easy xD).

Rocky you are right.
Have you ever stood and stared at it, marveled at its beauty, its genius? Billions of people just living out their lives, oblivious. Did you know that the first Matrix was designed to be a perfect human world, where none suffered, where everyone would be happy? It was a disaster. No one would accept the program, entire crops were lost. Some believed we lacked the programming language to describe your perfect world, but I believe that, as a species, human beings define their reality through misery and suffering. The perfect world was a dream that your primitive cerebrum kept trying to wake up from. Which is why the Matrix was redesigned to this, the peak of your civilization. I say your civilization, because as soon as we started thinking for you it really became our civilization, which is of course what this is all about. Evolution, Morpheus, evolution. Like the dinosaur. Look out that window. You had your time. The future is our world, Morpheus. The future is our time.
